Our story

From Mum's kitchen to yours

Bao Bae started with missing home. The authentic Mauritian-Chinese bao we grew up on was nowhere to be found in Melbourne.

So we make them the way Mum taught us: a Mauritian-Chinese family recipe passed down through generations, every bun folded by hand, steamed the day you pick it up. No shortcuts, no preservatives sitting on a shelf. Just small batches made with love.
